DOC, DOCX, EPUB, XLS, PDF, and other document formats can be opened with the Free Editor application. Once you open the document you can simply go through it, you can print it out if you need the document on hard copy, or you can edit it if it needs editing. You can do it all in a user friendly interface and without having to part with your money.

Installing Free Editor will not take much of your time nor will it take much effort. First up you have to download a 34.8MB executable. When you run this executable, you will be presented with a setup wizard; follow the instructions it presents and a few moments later you will have Free Editor up and running.

The application’s interface is pretty much what you would expect from a text editor. The document you open is presented in a large pane in the middle. At the top there’s a File Menu and buttons for zooming in and out, printing the document, and navigating through the document. At the bottom there are buttons for editing the document’s contents.

Free Editor provides support for a long list of file formats. It supports Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents, it supports XML, RTF, BAT and PDF files, and it also supports numerous image, coding and Windows files. This means that you can use the application to access a variety of file types.

If you have a report that needs touching up, for example, you can easily do that with the Free Editor application. Load the document into the editor and play with the font style, color and size, highlight important paragraphs, underline and put important bits in bold, add hyperlinks, and insert images. You can do all this and more with the Free Editor application. And, as its name points out and as mentioned above, this application will not cost a thing.

If you need a clever tool to open and edit a variety of documents, then you need to get Free Editor. It comes with support for numerous formats and with some handy editing capabilities.
